After the race she stated her satisfaction, but also mentioned she is well aware of her errors, and the improvements that can be made. She knows she should gain security with each race.

» Promising 4th place for Janica Kostelic Janica Kostelic captured a promising 4th place in today’s giant slalom won by Spain’s Maria Jose Rienda Contreras – missing the podium by only half a second. It’s her best performance since her 2nd place in Soelden – and a good reason to increase her confidence before Sunday’s slalom she won last year. She clocked one of the fastest times in the second run, losing only 7/100 of a second on Anja Paerson who came in 2nd.

Anja Paerson, unbeaten in slalom this season, fell in the middle of her first run.
