Nearing the end of the ski season Croatian ski team, alpine A team members Ivica and Janica Kostelic and thier father and coach Ante Kostelic held a press conference in Tomislavov dom on Sljeme.

» Janica is relaxed
Janica Kostelic achieved two smooth training runs on the new “Silvano Beltrametti” downhill run located in Parpan, near Lenzerheide, which will host the 2005 World Cup Finals this week. The triple World Champion from Santa Caterina finished 5th and 4th in the two timed trials organised Monday and won by Austria's Renate Goetschl and Michaela Dorfmeister, two of the best speed specialists of the season.

» Janica Kostelic regained 18 points
In finishing in 4th place in the last downhill of the season won by her friend Renate
Goetschl, Janica Kostelic managed to regain 18 points on Anja Paerson in the Overall World Cup standings. Paerson, who did not found back her best rhythm from Sansicario only came in 8th almost a second and a half behind the winner.

Janica Kostelic had to be content with a far 15th place in today's Super-G race organised by perfect weather conditions on the challenging “Silvano Beltrametti” course in Lenzerheide. The skier form Zagreb, who came in 5th and 4th in her last two Super-G races, struggled again on the Swiss slope. Anja Paerson, who came in 3rd, increased her lead up to 89 points after this important competition.

Janica Kostelic clocked the 2nd best time in today’s first slalom run
held on the lower part of the icy “Silvano Bertrametti” course. The
skier from Zagreb only lost 8/100 of a second on USA’s Sarah Schleper
while Anja Paerson was 3rd, 25/100 of a second behind Janica.

Janica Kostelic reached her fifth World Cup podium in slalom this season in Lenzerheide where he finished a strong 2nd behind America's Sarah Schleper. She lost 34/100 of a second on her after making several mistakes in both runs.
» Starting numbers for tomorrow's giant slalom
Starting numbers for tomorrow's World Cup giant slalom in Lenzerheide (SUI) were drawn today. This is the last ladies' event this season.

» Janica Kostelic 2nd in Overall World Cup
After a dramatic and uncertain giant slalom race in which she came in 8th and Anja Paerson 17th, Janica Kostelic lost the 2005 Overall World Cup by only three points! The skier from Zagreb needed to finish at least 7th to score enough points to pass her Swedish rival. Yet she missed it by 9/100 of a second, which is the closest losing margin in World Cup history since 1967, when Canada's Nancy Greene clinched the Overall standings beating her main rival Marielle Goitschel by 7/100 in slalom.

The contest by T-Mobile and Croatian association of athletes with disability worth 1.000.000,00 kuna finished
T-Mobile and Croatian association of athletes with disability presented 38 clubs which entered their contest for promoting sports for persons with disability and won 1.000.000 kuna. The contest was announced in November of 2004.

» Ski season finished
Croatian championship contests held 18th and 19th this month on Sljeme saw the finish of ski season 2004/05. Janica Kostelic and Ana Jelusic took first and second place on both days, in slalom and giant slalom.

From Sunday Janica and Ivica will be in Innerkerems (AUT) where they will have their last practices of the season.
