Janica takes more downhill points
In the 4th downhill race this season, Janica Kostelic finished 8th and gained another 36 points. She had a good and clean run with no mistakes, especially in the lower part of the course where she had the 3rd best time.

«I was a little bit worse at the training so I tried to correct some mistakes. The skies were a lot of help because many things depend on how well your skies have been prepared. I give all the credits to my repairman, Jure Hefner» said Janica after entering the finish line. Renate Goetschl was the winner of this race and she was 1.01 seconds faster than Janica. «I'm happy for her. She wasn't that good at the beginning of the season, but now she's back» added Janica before going to the giant slalom training.

This was the 3rd best score in her career in downhill. She was 6th in Lenzerheide and 7th two years ago in Lake Louise. At the top of the overall Super-G standings is Kristen Clark, USA who was faster than Carole Montillet, France in this race but they both have 245 points. What was interesting is that Montillet was obviously slowing down at the training so she could get a lower starting number, but it came back as revenge and she finished 4th. Janica will race in a giant slalom at Sunday and it will be a 4th race in 5 days here in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
