Janica very far behind on slalom training
After finishing 19th in a Super-G race, Janica's next challenge will be a combined race scheduled for Monday. Until then she is spending her time with training. She has finished 33rd, with 3.80 seconds behind the winner, Spain's Ruiz-Castillo, on a Tuesday's training race. The snow was thick, and Janica's bed knee has additionally decreased her speed.

«I don't know why, it could've been the skies, but I was very slow. My knee hurts, but it's not a big deal» said Janica griming her teeth. But, a Wednesday's downhill training wasn't much better either. She was a little bit better than on the day before, but was still 3.05 seconds behind the winner, Switzerland's Monika Dumermuth. Still, Janica's greatest concern are Christine Sponring and Nicole Hosp, who are great in combined races and were brilliant in that training run, even 2 seconds faster than Janica. «Let's say I wasn't bothered by my knee, but I couldn't see much, the weather was very bed» said Janica.

«It wasn't good. The skies could have been the problem, but our greatest fear is that knee. It could be hurting her from that fall in Bormio, I don't know» said Janica's father and coach, Ante Kostelic. Let's just hope that her knee would heal until Monday and that for the 1st time in history we will see Croatian flag when they announce the winner of the World Championship...
